Abstract

The productive and economic development of the country is accompanied by an implicit need to optimize energy expenditure and minimize the high impact it has on various aspects. The costs of energy supply and, especially, environmental externalities have begun to generate a new perspective on this matter. This paper elaborates on and summarizes the operation and evaluation of a thermal solar system, analyzed through a test bench, used for heating domestic water. It operates by harnessing an alternative energy source, namely solar energy. Parameters of its performance will be obtained under different conditions, as well as during different times of the year.
