Virtual Reality and Metaverse. Are we ready to take the leap?

Abstract

An investigation was carried out into the use of data communication technologies and high-speed networks to support the virtual spaces where Argentinian companies developed their services.
In the view of the volatile economic scenario and the significant technological challenges that Internet providers must overcome, the authors raise doubts about the feasibility of local businesses implementing virtual realities.
In this context, we used an exploratory and descriptive methodology. Specific categories such as "metaverse", "virtual reality" and "high-speed networks" were selected in accordance with the objectives of this study.
