Abstract

The present work consists of the development of mortars with additions of different recycled fibers. The objective of this study is to evaluate the performance provided by the selected fibers and, at the same time, to verify if it is suitable for repairing cracked masonry and/or low-load screeds. Different samples were studied, one as a reference called MP, one with recycled fibers from the iron industry (steel shavings) with different incorporation percentages, referred to as MF, and a mortar with incorporation of recycled plastic fibers obtained from used brooms, referred to as ME.
