Tribometer pin-on-disk acquisition and control system
Keywords:
Tribometer, Friction, Acquisition and ControlAbstract
In the Wear and Solid Friction Testing Laboratory (LEDFS) of the National Technological University, Haedo Regional Faculty, a low-cost academic pin-on-disk tribometer was designed with an acquisition and control system that includes a load cell, an optical sensor for measuring rotation speed and an infrared sensor that indicates the temperature variation near the contact area, in order to acquire the friction coefficient in real time and control test parameters. The system allows you to acquire and graph the variables and results in real time, control the test time, rotation speed variation and start-stop operation.
