Based on the new accreditation standards established for university degrees by the Ministry of Education of the government of Argentina in the year 2021, and the recommendations outlined in the Red Book of the Federal Council of Engineering Deans, the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional of Argenina (UTN) establishes new curricular designs for engineering degrees, based on competency-based training. At Facultad Regional San Nicolás, belonging to the UTN, these new curricular designs are being implemented since 2023. This process not only implies changes in the way teaching is approached, but also in the way assessment is carried out.
Assessment must be a process that accompanies the teaching process, following the planned learning outcomes. Continuous monitoring is important in order to be able to analyse the evolution of the students in terms of the achievement of the established objectives. One way to reach this is by means of dashboards that summarise the information collected, using tables and graphs.
This work presents an initial design of tools for analyzing the achievement of the learning outcomes established in the Industrial Engineering Computer Science 2 course at the San Nicolás Regional Faculty, in the first half of the 2023 academic year. For this purpose, the assessment instruments used during the first term of the course will be taken into account, evaluated according to the rubric proposed in the Syllabus 2023 of the subject.
