Abstract

Currently and even more so, in the near future, most jobs will be related to STEAM, therefore, it is essential to provide close references in engineering, science and technology for boys and girls, since there is a growing need to promote vocations in these disciplines. By having role models in these fields, the confidence and interest of young people is stimulated, promoting a future in which gender equality and diversity are fundamental pillars in the development of science and technology, which results essential to addressing global challenges.
In this context, the Industrial Engineering department of the UTN FR San Rafael, through an agreement, decides to join the Inspira STEAM program belonging to the University of Deusto (Spain) to implement it in San Rafael, Mendoza. The objective is to promote scientific-technological vocations among girls and boys in primary schools, allowing them to discover STEAM professions, regardless of the sociocultural context to which they belong. The initiative is part of the search to apply the concept of innovation in education.
Through this program, we try to generate a positive impact on the community by promoting equal opportunities and the active participation of women and men in STEAM disciplines. Inspiring new generations to explore and develop their skills in these fields will be key to driving progress and innovation in the future.
