As part of the project entitled: "Analysis of management by competencies in organizations" located at the Faculty of Engineering of the National University of Mar del Plata, the level of acquisition of generic competencies in graduates of Industrial Engineering is investigated. Since 2006, the Federal Council of Deans of Engineering (CONFEDI) has established definitions regarding generic competencies for the design of new study plans. This work proposes to measure the degree of development of three generic competences to: perform effectively in work teams, communicate effectively, and learn continuously and autonomously. The methodology used is an exploratory and descriptive study, since on the one hand, it tries to investigate the state of a situation that covers a certain period of time, and on the other, its main objective is to have data that accounts for the problem studied. In order to provide information on the perceptions and expectations of industrial engineering graduates of the last 5 years. To do this, a structured virtual questionnaire with a multiple choice option is taken that uses a Likert-type scale. Regarding the results obtained, it is expected to make a comparison between the degree of acquisition of their skills upon graduation and the degree of acquisition that was expected to be acquired, that is, to compare their expectations with reality.
