Abstract

The concepts and products that make up industry 4.0 have expanded significantly in the last decade with the advancement of ICT, data processing algorithms and global market changes. This research addresses the problem of detecting these concepts and products in the small industries of the Morón District; through an organized and selective process of capturing information from the industry about the existing technological capacity and the organizational risks that they imply. The research is exploratory because there is no scientific precedent in the selected territory and the results serve as a reference to other districts in the Buenos Aires suburbs with similar problems. The concepts and products of “Industry 4.0” as a whole, favor production in the generation of added value of different types of productive sectors. That is why one way to improve the industry's competitiveness is through the incorporation of innovative technologies.
