Abstract

One of the most important strategic decisions within an automobile manufacturing project is to determine which will be the most convenient sources of supply for auto parts, since the level of competitiveness of the finished vehicle depends to a large extent on this process. In this sense, the purchasing function of an automotive terminal has as one of its main functions to economically compare the convenience of local acquisition of auto parts against the equivalent provision of imported origin.
The objective of this research was to develop a management tool in an automotive terminal located in our country to evaluate the economic convenience of nationalizing an auto part based on the values entered for a group of determining variables.
The present work is focused on the analysis of the costs not only of commercialization of the piece and logistics, but also on the impact that the macroeconomic conditions and the fiscal policies of our country have on the final cost of an auto part.
The multi-criteria nationalization analysis tool developed has an important field of application given the frequency with which these projects are evaluated, the economic and strategic importance they have for the national industry and the lack of similar studies in the field of bibliography that can be adapted to the reality of the Argentine automotive sector.
