Abstract

This work carries out an analysis on a series of data in the complete years 2021 and 2022 measured at the UTN meteorological station in the city of San Francisco, province of Córdoba, at a height of 10 meters from the ground. Statistical tools were applied to understand the behavior of the wind, such as the Weibull distribution for analysis of energy and power available in the area and for the calculation of daily and monthly wind profiles. Wind roses corresponding to intensities, directions and powers were created to best describe the wind resource available in the area. A comparison is made with the data for the area extracted from the SIGEOLICO simulator belonging to the National Meteorological Service (SMN). The wind generation system applicable to the city and area must take into account the low wind speeds present and the variability in its direction.
