Technical report on the evaluation of audible noise on the Campus of the Faculty of Agrarian Sciences of the National University of the Northeast (UNNE) carried out by the Subject Industrial Hygiene and Safety of the Fifth Year of the Industrial Engineering Degree. The measurements have respected the specifications techniques of the IRAM standard No. 4062/2016 for evaluating noise that is disturbing to the neighborhood and sound measurement procedures. These measurements were carried out at the entrance to the campus and in the hallway leading to classroom A5. A sound analyzer (decibelimeter), Sper Scientific brand and model No. 850069, was used to monitor noise.
Prior to the start of the tests, the correct operation of the equipment used was verified by applying an acoustic calibrator. In each position, a series of measurements was made consisting of a minimum of readings, in order to ensure the representativeness of the results. These readings corresponded to the equivalent continuous sound level (LAeq), evaluated over a period of 5 minutes, in compensated decibels A (dBA) and with the instrument positioned in S (slow) response.
The decibel meter used is placed at a height of between 1.2 and 1.5 m above ground level mounted on a tripod to carry out these measurements. The students of this subject focused on the processing of information collected in the field, and the determination of the degree of adequacy of the noise levels generated here, in relation to the current applicable regulatory requirements.
