The emergence of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) as an economic alternative, represents a new reality in our country, being a productive sector with significant social and economic impact, despite the obstacles faced by the entities that integrate it. The need for study, analysis and training of these entities requires deepening the link with public universities. Thus, a proposal arises, presented in a research project based on the FCEIA-UNR, on which this work is based. Its objective is generating interventions that integrate technological tools and concepts of industrial engineering in an SSE organization. This project is focused on generating an impact on the SSE development, respecting the principles and values that it promotes. The case study with a mixed approach will be used as a research methodology. To understand the dynamics of SSE organizations ethnographic strategies will be utilized. Through an action-research design, the specific problems of a case study will be tried to be solved, promoting the involvement of the participants, not only in the detection of needs, but also in the process and implementation of the improvement. A solid base of theoretical and methodological knowledge will allow the development and transfer of strategies for strengthening SSE organizations. Moreover, it will promote the development of the profession aligned with social and environmental implications, adding value to the training and practice of the industrial engineer.
