Development of a sustainable home of social interest using the circular economy model
Keywords:

This work develops a sustainable housing of social interest that can be carried out at the site, be built in a factory or workshop and that allows self-construction. Rafaela city has had a sanitary landfill since 2003 with an estimated useful life of 25 years; After that time there will be a socio-environmental issue regarding the disposal of waste in excess of the sanitation capacity. A viable option is the application of the circular economy, whose nature lies in transforming waste into resources. This project proposes the recovery of nonrecoverable plastics through their use as an input in sustainable construction. In this way, it is possible to design a construction system that does not require complex industrial infrastructure or large costs, including the design of precast parts whose execution requires elementary molds and low material consumption.
