Abstract

Ventilation and air renewal play a crucial role in controlling temperature, humidity and air pollution within poultry farms. This work presents the preliminary results of the energy assessment of poultry farms through computational simulation. The objective is to minimize the energy consumption of the farms. Energy performance is measured based on the energy consumption necessary to maintain the temperature in the acceptable range demanded by production, based on a model that symbolizes the actual operating conditions of the shed.
