The energy contained in a flow of water (kinetic energy) can be used by transforming the displacement movement into a rotation movement (mechanical energy) and then to electrical energy, by means of a hydrokinetic turbine (THC). The rotor designed is proposed to evaluate the feasibility of installing a THC in Golfo Nuevo, Chubut, Argentina, in order to evaluate its behavior in an aggressive and variable environment such as currents associated with tides. The form of operation was chosen to be simple, autonomous and low cost.
